Jagran Group's Mumbai newspaper Mid-day has refreshed its comics and games section and the new addition is the launch of India's first comic strip on visual disability. The comic strip kicked off on May 1 in the paper's Sunday edition.

Titled 'You & Eye', it's a collaborative effort between Mid-day, illustrator Nala Ponnappa, former journalist Krishna Warrier and Dr Sam Taraporevala, Director at Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC). Dr Taraporevala suffers from 100% visual disability and has led the sociology department of St Xavier's College for two decades.
