The surprises after integration of rural data in BARC ratings continued in the third week, which is Week 43 of 2015. While Zee Anmol has widened the lead over Colors, Zee TV has inched closer to it. Doordarshan has slipped to No. 8 this week from last week's fifth position.

As per select data shared by BARC India for Week 43 (October 24 to Oct 30) {HSM : NCCS All : Individuals : BARC India base – All India (U+R)}, all the free to air channels except DD National and Star Utsav have witnessed a huge jump in their viewership while Star Plus, Zee TV and SAB TV have registered significant growth among pay channels this week.

Star Plus has consolidated its lead by adding 51 TVM to its gross viewership. The channel has recorded a gross viewership of 786 TVM (last week 735 TVM).

Zee Anmol, the FTA channel from Zee stable, was the highest gainer of the week and grew by 70 TVM. The channel secured a comfortable lead over Colors with a gross viewership of 722 TVM (last week 652 TVM).

Colors retained its viewership and third position with a gross viewership of 652 TVM (last week 651 TVM).

Zee TV closed the gap with Colors by adding 52 TVM in Week 43. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 647 TVM (last week 595 TVM)

Life OK returned to top-5 club with gross viewership of 509 TVM (last week 496 TVM).

Star Utsav slipped to No. 6 position owing to a marginal loss in viewership. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 497 TVM (last week 501 TVM).

SAB TV too added 47 TVM and rose to seventh position with a gross viewership of 374 TVM (last week 327 TVM).

DD National slipped to No. 8 this week by losing 157 TVM after India-South Africa ODI series. The national channel garnered a gross viewership of 366 TVM (last week 523 TVM).

Sony Entertainment Television lost 15 TVM and recorded a gross viewership of 333 TVM (last week 348 TVM) to rank ninth.

Rishtey remained at No. 10 despite growing by 47 TVM. The channel had garnered a gross viewership of 314 TVM (last week 267 TVM).

Top 5 programmes on Hindi GECs

As per select data (HSM : NCCS All : Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs) : Individuals : BARC India base – All India (U+R), Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya' retained the top spot with a viewership of 16.9 TVM (last week 13.7 TVM).

Star Plus' 'Saath Nibhaana Sathiya' too grew to an average viewership of 14.8 TVM (last week 13.6TVM).

Zee Anmol's show 'Ek Se Bhale Do' entered the top-5 club this week and was third most watched show with an average viewership of 13.6 TVM.

Star Plus' show 'Ye Hai Mohabattein' took the fourth place with a viewership of 13.4 TVM (last week 11.4 TVM).

Colors' show 'Sasural Simar Ka' slipped two positions to No. 5 this week. The show averaged at 11.9 TVM in Week 43 (last week 11.4 TVM).
