I-Can-Do-That

Zee TV, that prides itself on its home grown content, has finally tapped into foreign shores with 'I Can Do That', an action-packed reality show that has its origins in Israel. Developed by Israel's Armoza Formats, 'I Can Do That' will premiere on October 17 and air every Saturday and Sunday at 9.00 pm. The show will replace 'Dance India Dance 5', which will culminate in the preceding weekend. 'I Can Do That' is produced by Essel Vision Productions.

As reported earlier, 'I Can Do That' marks the return of actor-director Farhan Akhar to television. The last time he had hosted a show on television was in 2009, when he was an anchor in Imagine TV's show 'Oye! It's Friday'.

'I Can Do That' will see 12 celebrities from different walks of life stepping out of their comfort zone to perform daring acts. These 12 celebrity contestants are Gauahar Khan, Dino Morea, Mandira Bedi, Meiyang Chang, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rithvik Dhanjani, VJ Bani, Andy, Ranvir Brar, Shibani Dandekar, Madhurima Tuli and comedian Bharti Singh.

Commenting on the show, Pradeep Hejmadi, Business Head, Zee TV, said, “A show like 'I Can Do That' is an ideal fit for our channel. It approaches celebrities with a 'can do' attitude and poses them with challenges that they'd probably never imagined they could pull off. It traces their journey from 'Can I do that?' to 'I Can Do That' in a real life situation. While non-fiction formats play out over 13 weeks, this will be a short five-week sparkler for our viewers this festive season.”

On Farhan Akhtar as the show's host, Hejmadi said, “Farhan is the perfect choice as host of the show, having excelled at so many diverse roles in the creative process of film-making effortlessly. With his wit and spontaneity, he brings alive the edgy spirit of the show beautifully.”
