The Sheena Bora murder case has gripped the nation ever since the news broke on the night of August 25, 2015. More than two weeks later, it is still in the headlines and that has also reflected in the news viewership patterns.

As per select data (All India : NCCS AB : Males 22+ : Individuals : BARC India base - C&S 1Lac+) for the English News genre, yet again Times Now had no competitor as it dominated the BARC ratings for Week 35 (August 29-September 4). Times Network's premier channel garnered a gross viewership of 479 (ratings in sum of 000s).

NDTV 24x7 stormed back to the second spot by bagging a gross viewership of 247 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Last week's surprise entrant, News9, dropped out of the top 3. India Today Television lost a few TVTs, but retained its third position with a gross viewership of 143 (ratings in sum of 000s).

While Times Now enjoyed another great week, Times Network's business news channel lost 60 TVTs from last week. According to select data (All India : NCCS AB : Males 22+ : Individuals : BARC India base - C&S 1Lac+), ET Now held on to its second position with a gross viewership of 107 (ratings in sum of 000s).

The top spot was once again held by CNBC-TV18, which fetched a gross viewership of 179 (ratings in sum of 000s).

NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime were placed third with a gross viewership of rating of 44 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Hindi news and business channels

According to select data (HSM : NCCS All : 15+ : Individuals : BARC India base - C&S 1Lac+) for the Hindi news genre, India TV regained the top spot with a gross viewership of 30134 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Aaj Tak came second with a gross viewership of 29444 (ratings in sum of 000s). ABP News still struggled to break into the top two as it clocked a gross viewership of 27512 (ratings in sum of 000s).

The order seldom changes in the Hindi business news genre and it was no different this week. As per select data (HSM : NCCS AB : Males 22+ : Individuals : BARC India base - C&S 1Lac+). CNBC Awaaz ruled again with a gross viewership of 896 (ratings in sum of 000s).

Zee Business lost over 200 TVTs as it garnered a gross viewership of 629 (ratings in sum of 000s).
