India Today Television debuts with record tune-ins
The channel led the English news genre in tune-ins across 6 Megacities and individual markets of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata (NCCS M AB 22+)

As per the latest BARC ratings released, India Today Television opened as No. 1 in tune-ins across the important TG sets in the English News genre in the first week of its launch.
India Today Television is ahead of its closest competitor Times Now in the six Megacities with a gap of 0.42 million. (BARC Rating System, Week 21 of 2015, All Days, Coverage, NCCS AB 22+ Male, 6 Megacities).

On Male 22+, India Today Television led the genre tune-ins across NCCS ALL, NCCS AB, and individual markets of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, and the six Megacity Group.
Commenting on the opening coverage numbers, Ashish Bagga, Group CEO, India Today Group, said, “The TV news space needed redefinition and a complete change in the way things are done. As is known, the India Today brand recently decided to extend itself to the TV news space and the opening numbers were keenly awaited.
