As BARC India releases its data for the fourth week, marking a month of its launch, BestMediaInfo.com takes a look at the viewership data behaviour in the new ratings regime. Considering the first set of ratings released by BARC on April 29, 2015, there is no major shift in the pecking order as well as viewership of Hindi general entertainment channels in the fourth week.

So far, BARC has been releasing the ratings data only for Households which perhaps have not been well received by its subscribers. However, as sources within BARC India had informed BestMediaInfo.com at the launch that it would be in position to release individual data after four to six weeks, it is believed that its subscribers will soon have full access to the data.

BARC India's fourth week's data, which is Week 19 of the year, saw Star Plus and Zee TV losing viewership, while Life OK, SAB and Colors registered growth.

According to the select data publicly available on BARC India's website for Week 19 (May 9 – May15) for HSM, 1L+ HHs, Star Plus continued to be at the top but slipped further. Colors held the No. 2 position with an improved viewership this week. Life OK also added more eyeballs and strengthened its position at No. 3. Zee TV dropped further, while SAB TV added more eyeballs in Week 19.

Star Plus' viewership dipped further in Week 19 and recorded a gross rating of 164million.The channel had opened at 170 million of gross viewership in the first week data.

At No. 2, Colors added a few eyeballs this week and recorded a gross rating of 145 million. At the launch of BARC ratings, Colors was strong No. 2 with the gross viewership of 151 million.

Life OK strengthened its position at No. 3 this week and recorded 122 million gross rating. In BARC ratings regime, the channel had kicked off at a gross rating of 126 million.

Zee TV dropped further this week, but remained closer to BARC's first week's ratings. The channel recorded a gross rating of 100 million in Week 19 against 106 million in Week 16.

SAB TV witnessed growth in its viewership and held No. 5 position in Week 19. The channel recorded a gross rating of 74 million this week as against 90 million in the first week of BARC ratings.
