Worldwide Media, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bennett Coleman & Company (BCCL), has pulled down the curtains on ‘BBC GoodFood India’. March 2015 was the last edition from the group.
Though no official comment was forthcoming from WWM about the development, a tweet was sent out from the official Twitter handle of GoodFood India (@GoodFoodMagIn) on March 31, which read: “We are sad to share that the March issue will be the last to be published by Worldwide Media”.
The magazine had a 70:30 content split favouring locally-produced content versus syndicated content from the UK title.
WWM continues to publish ‘Filmfare’, ‘Femina’, ‘Hello!’, ‘Grazia’, ‘Lonely Planet’, ‘Top Gear’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Good Homes’.
