After announcing the launch of Amazon.in presents Star World Weekend Binge, the English general entertainment channel has put together its weekend line-up for viewers for an entire year. Keeping in mind the growing need for uninterrupted entertainment, the 'Weekend Binge' will give viewers a chance to watch complete seasons of popular series at one go. Breaking the norm of showing reruns over weekends, Star World is all set to bring more than 1,200 hours of award-winning shows from the biggest studios for its viewers and air more than 30 shows with 45 new seasons across the entire year.

Amazon.in presents Star World Weekend Binge will be kick-starting with the season premiere of 'How to Get Away with Murder' on April 25, 2015, wherein all 15 episodes of this series will be aired from 12 pm onwards on April 25 and 26. Following this, Star World will air Season 4 of the series 'Homeland'.

Over 50 per cent of the year's content line-up will be series premieres on Amazon.in presents Star World Weekend Binge, including shows like 'Empire', 'Blackish', 'Fresh Of The Boat', and 'The Bridge, among others. The channel will also air popular series like 'Two and A Half Men', 'Modern Family', 'New Girl', and 'Two Broke Girls', through this property.

Commenting on this innovative new concept, a Star spokesperson said, “Star World has been a pioneer and trendsetter in the industry and was the first to introduce the daily strip programming-format with English series in India. Our strong consumer understanding with regards to their consumption habits and lifestyle has led to the innovation of Star World Weekend Binge, which is aimed at creating a destination especially for those viewers who can't wait to watch what happens next and want to consume the complete story at one go.”

To mark the launch of this property, for the very first time Star World has put together a unique marketing programme to engage and connect with audiences across its target markets. The central character of this campaign is a mascot called 'Binge Baba'.

Starting April 25, Amazon.in presents Star World Weekend Binge will air every Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm onwards on Star World and Star World HD.
