The 27th edition of Goldenaward of Montreux Advertising Festival will be held this year on Lake Geneva in Switzerland on April 23. Late entries will be accepted till April 15, 2015.

Montreux Festival is a precursor to Cannes Lions and every year many Cannes aspirants test their work at Montreux, and the winners often go on to win at Cannes.

The jury for this year's jury has been announced. Peter Kain, ECD of BBDO New York, is heading the Film jury while Luis Silva Dias, Chief Creative Officer, FCB International, is heading the Print jury. Adam Kerj, CCO of JWT New York, is heading the Digital jury, while Frank Bodin of Havas Worldwide is President of the Media Jury. Harjyot Singh of McCann International is heading the Integrated jury.

Also on the Jury are Ajay Chandwani, Director, Percept Ltd, and Strategic Brand Engagement Consultant. “The Montreux Festival may be Euro-centric in nature but in the last few years participation from Indian companies has gone up significantly,” said Chandwani.

This year's Montreux jury also includes Juliana Cobb, BBDO New York; Gonzalo Ricca, DON, Argentina; Bart Mol, DDB & Tribal Amsterdam; Luca Cinquepalmi, Les Gaulois, France; Bo Hellberg, HeyHuman and Brave, London; Dave Canning, and Dan Treichel of 180 Amsterdam; Philippe Pine, Lost Boys Paris; Cristina Barturen, Arnold Spain; Alexandre Rodrigues, Grand Union Portugal; and Olivier Teepe, Cloudfactory, The Netherlands.

BBDO New York was a big winner last year with Golds for Diageo Basketball, Bud Light and Mars Chocolate in TV films, while BETC France won for Lacoste.

Print Golds were dominated by Havas Switzerland and Leo Burnett Germany while Grey Paris won for Lego.

PHD India's work for Unilever 'Kan Khajura Tashan' had won a Gold in the Mobile Multi-media category. Porche, Volkswagon and BMW were big winners in the Automotive Digital category.

In 2013, BBDO New York's humorous Snickers films 'Coach' and 'Horseless Headman' stole the show along with DDB Argentina's Volkswagon 'Little hand' and Guiness 'Clock' by AMV BBDO London.

Leo Burnett India had won three Golds at Montreux in 2013 in Print and Direct Mail categories for Coke Studio and Gandhiji while Ramesh Deo Productions won a Gold for Nike in the Film category.

Over the last few years, Indian agencies and ad film producers have been entering the Montreux Festival in steadily increasing numbers as the festival is concentrating on improving Asia Pacific participation in the festival.
