The biggest cricket extravaganza ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will kick-start on February 14. Star Sports will broadcast the matches in six languages and as part for their marketing blitz around the World Cup, Star has released series of TVC films as part of its 'Won't Give It Back' campaign to evoke the passion among fans. One of the recent TVCs is targeted specifically on the India vs Pakistan match on February 15, 2014.

The TVC has been conceptualised by the internal team of Star Sports and it tries to capture the essence that India versus Pakistan match is the biggest game in the cricket calendar. Also, according to statistics, India holds the bragging rights: India and Pakistan have played against each other in the World Cup five times and India has come out victorious each time.

According to a Star spokesperson, “The India Pakistan game launch campaign has seen intense interest and conversations online attracting over 2.3 million views in 48 hours, reflecting an unprecedented anticipation and hype over the big game.”

The TVC shows a young Pakistan cricket fan, sporting the team colours, waiting to celebrate the victory over India in the World Cup since 1992. The wait has been so long that he now has a son, who also repeats his father's routine to no avail as India eventually overcome them. The comic element of the film revolves around the fans' routine of getting the crackers out for celebration in every edition of World Cup when India and Pakistan play, in anticipation of their win, but only to shelf them back again in disappointment.
