UrzzaUrzza, the energy drink from Bisleri, exploited Twitter's character limit for a contest recently. Breaking the 140-character limit, Urzza, on November 19, posted a tweet that contained 652 characters. Or at least that's what they got the world to believe, with a simple but really smart cheat. The idea was that Twitter is now no longer about 140 characters – if you are high on Urzza! The tweet encouraged users to do the same and prizes were given to those who managed to actually pull it off.

Urzza's tweet:

The company said that it didn't require any understanding of the theory of relativity to crack this, but a knack for fun. Urzza invited fans to write a 'mad tweet', longer than 140 characters and to tag them. If the tweet was electrifying enough, users could win an Urzza power-bank for mobile.

Commenting on the idea, Sharmila Sandeep, Head, Marketing, Bisleri, said, “The attempt of this initiative was to make people believe that the world is about powerful possibilities. So, through Facebook and Twitter, we showed people what these possibilities are and the response which we have got is great.”
