Sony goes for first ever poster release for a TV show

Amitabh Bachchan unveils 50 feet high poster of his fiction debut 'Yudh' that will soon go on air on Sony

Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the poster of the upcoming finite series 'Yudh' yesterday in Delhi. Against the backdrop of the iconic statesman building, Amitabh Bachchan along with Anurag Kashyap, Sarika and Aahana Kumra revealed the exclusive 50 feet high poster of the show to the delight of thousands of spectators.

Poised as one of the biggest offering on Indian television, 'Yudh' will mark legendary star Amitabh Bachchan's foray on the small screen in a fiction series. The series follows 'Yudh'ishthir Sikarwar (played by Amitabh Bachchan), a real estate baron, who has recently been diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder. 'Yudh' narrates the story of this man who is invincible. It traces his journey, his struggle with his collapsing health, his battle with business rivals and his complicated family equations. An imaginative script along with the charismatic appeal of Bachchan and peerless storytelling of Anurag Kashyap is what will set 'Yudh' apart from any other offering on the small screen.

'Yudh' is co- produced by Amitabh Bachchan's production company Saraswati Creations in collaboration with Endemol India. Helming the show will be ace film maker Anurag Kashyap as the Creative Director along with Shoojit Sircar who has been roped in as a Creative Consultant. The series is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.

The show boasts of a stellar ensemble cast marking the debut of some well-known Bollywood actors namely Sarika, Nawazuddin Siddique, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Kay Kay Menon. For this show Anurag Kashyap has handpicked some of the finest talent from theatre and television, like Ayesha Raza, Zakir Hussain, Yusuf Hussain, Mona Vasu, Sanjay Gandhi amongst many others. They are ably supported by debutants Aahana Kumra, Pavail Gulati, Avinash Tiwari, in central roles.
