Businessworld, now owned by GBN Media, has partnered with Hotelier International Media Ltd to launch the Indian edition of 'Hotelier International' magazine, the world's largest B2B publication for hoteliers. The magazine is expected to hit the stands in India by the end of the second quarter of this year around August.

It has editions across 15 countries with a circulation of 300,000 copies. It has a loyal following among hotel owners as well as businesses that work with hotels, including suppliers, designers, decorators, event organisers and more.

The Businessworld-Hotelier International magazine will be a quarterly. It is expected to be primarily read by the top management of 4- and 5-star hotels in India. Users will be able to subscribe to an interactive e-version of the magazine as well. The digital version of the magazine will be available across desktop, mobile and social media. There will be a digital presence with updates happening on real time basis while building a forum for the hotel community.

Businessworld was acquired by GBN Media in October last year from the ABP group.

Anurag Batra, Chairman, GBN Media, said, “The Businessworld and Hotelier International partnership is our first step towards bringing the most interesting news and updates on the hospitality business across India and the world and enable advertisers to reach out to the top management across best hotels of India. Our events will bring the businesses together and drive thought leadership and new initiatives for the hospitality sector.”

“We are extremely happy to enter a partnership with GBN Media for the Indian market. They are a perfect match for us and with their expertise within business media and doing credible editorial and understanding of digital and events. They will make Hotelier International the strongest hospitality brand in the region,” said International Licensing Director Karl-Henry Edström.

“The hospitality industry in India is growing by leaps and bounds and it needs a world class editorial platform focusing on the industry,” said Prosenjit Datta, Editor of Businessworld.

The licence deal was initiated through Cue Ball LLC.
