The New Indian Express enters world of glitz with 'Style Extravaganza'

Fashion fades, only style remains. Drawing on Coco Chanel's world view, The New Indian Express has chosen Bangalore to celebrate the everlasting charm of pure style with a scintillating show of fine jewellery and high fashion. The first-ever coming together of PC Jewellers and Manish Malhotra in Bangalore will take place at ITC Gardenia, Asia's first LEED platinum-rated green hotel, on March 21, 2014.

Over the last few years, The New Indian Express has organised a host of events across the country. It organises a national conference on education in Chennai, a literary festival in Bhubaneswar, an inter-college football tournament in Kerala and a bankers' awards ceremony in Delhi. Now, for the first time, it is entering the world of glitz. Given that all its other events are annual features, this one promises to be no different.

Decked out in sparkles, colour and radiance, 20 models from Mumbai will sashay down the flower-laden stage. Each will be stylised in blazing gems from PC Jewellers, a leading name in ornamental craft, and the magnificent craft of Manish Malhotra, one of Bollywood's favourite dressmakers. Like a musical theatre, it will be orchestrated by Lubna Adams, a runway choreographer who has conceptualised beauty pageants and fashion weeks since 1998.
