Hindi Daily Hindustan has launched two new initiatives 'Friends of Hindustan' and 'Hindustan Job Search' in Bihar. The No. 1 newspaper of Bihar has always led and been an active part of movements related to development, progress and people empowerment in the state of Bihar. Always ready to travel the extra mile, Hindustan has taken up key issues that impact the life of the masses. Grant for special status to Bihar and drive against corruption are just a few cases that were raised and gained momentum echoing people's voice.

'Friends of Hindustan' an initiative launched by Hindustan, is another unique step in the direction of identifying people's problems, empowering them to voice it and in the process creating a movement. Launched on 16th of December, the first edition of 'Friends of Hindustan' connected with the who's-who of Patna across segments - educationists, doctors, lawyers, judges, social activists, businessmen, theatre professionals, among others. Major issues pointed out included traffic woes, cleanliness & hygiene, safety, medical facilities, etc. The 'friends' expressed their desire to see Hindustan, being a leader, take a lead in taking up these initiatives.

While praise poured in from all quarters, about the role Hindustan has played in shaping lives, the stance taken by Hindustan in the favour of Bihar being granted a special status earned high accolades. The initiative, 'Friends of Hindustan', was also highly appreciated by all the dignitaries who said such platforms always help in binding communities together and raising pertinent issues.

In the days to come, the 'Friends' would reunite every month to discuss the progress, the problems and chart out a way ahead.

In a yet another move to empower its readers, Hindustan launched a new weekly supplement, 'Hindustan Job Search' to be circulated free along with the paper every Monday. This 16-page tabloid would feature jobs from across India with a special focus on jobs in Bihar. A special 'Hot Jobs' section would indicate the most lucrative jobs for the week. The product received tremendous response from the trade and readers alike who felt that the product served a definite need-gap hitherto untapped. With the massive reach of 'Hindustan' in Bihar, a multitude of readers are in for benefitting out of the new launch.
