Online classifieds leader, Quikr, has launched a new TV campaign. The objective is to position Quikr as a great place to look for jobs in various sectors like IT, BPO, retail and sales. The campaign has been conceptualised by Scarecrow Communications, and the film has been directed by Naren Multani. The TVC is faithful to Quikr's quirky and humorous brand persona.

The film features a man walking into a jeans shop. There, he encounters a shop assistant who tells him about three different kinds of jeans in three different voices! The man tells the assistant that since he has such good voices, he should be working in a call centre instead of a jeans shop! The shop assistant once again asks how he can get into a call centre, in a 4th voice, to which the man mentions Quikr as a great place to find jobs. The product window talks about the new resume builder feature on the site that helps construct an impressive resume in seconds and ends with the signature Quikrrrr audio mnemonic.

Pranay Chulet, CEO, Quikr, commented, “People don't realise how big the jobs category is for us. In addition to being the No. 1 player in classifieds in general, we are also far, far bigger than anyone else in mass market jobs as a category. We thought it's time to tell people that. There are hundreds of thousands of employers posting all types of jobs on Quikr, ranging from IT/BPO to sales to retail and beyond. In a broader sense, the role of this film is to let people know that Quikr is not just about products but services too.”

Raghu Bhat, Founder Director, Scarecrow, explaining the creative strategy, said, "The best part about Quikr communication is the brutal clarity on who the target audience is and the brand's determination to delight them with the 'unexpected' at every given opportunity. This purity of purpose has led to highly memorable campaigns in the past and hopefully, this time too."

Television, radio and the internet will be used extensively for this campaign. Quikr has built a high top-of-mind recall in the past two years through its unconventional campaigns and casting protagonists such as Bob Biswas and Murli Sharma as the inspector who wants to sell his old stuff in the midst of a riot!
