Deepak Sasikumar and Raunaq Sikka, co-founders of digital creative hot shop, The Hungry Fish, have joined Maxus Digital in Mumbai. The duo will lead the digital projects for Maxus in Mumbai which include Fiat, World Gold Council, Tata Sky and Vodafone.

Sasikumar and Sikka started The Hungry Fish in 2010, offering digital creative and technology solutions to brands. Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Sasikumar had worked at agencies such as JWT and BCWeb Wise, while Sikka had stints at Leo Burnett and BCWeb Wise. During their careers, they have been associated with clients such as Sunsilk, Microsoft, Gillette, Pepsi, Ford Motors and Star TV.

Sasikumar said, “Apart from having a longstanding relationship with GroupM over the years, what really made our decision easy was Maxus' tremendous focus on the digital medium. Maxus truly lives its philosophy of leaning into change, and this has translated into many pathbreaking innovations and awards. Maxus is steadily being reckoned as the most desirable digital agency to work with. We hope to add the value of our experience to a young and dynamic team full of ideas.”

Sikka added, “Today, media and technology are ever changing and require an agency that breathes innovation. For both Deepak and I, the focus has been on ideas that are media neutral, which establish relations across communication channels using the perfect media mix. This is where we fit right into Maxus. At Maxus people have PACE – they are Passionate, Agile, Collaborative and Entrepreneurial. It feels great to be a part of such an effervescent team, who are charged to create awesome work. I am looking forward to creating some great work for our clients at Maxus and making them believe that we are one agency that makes ideas happen.”

“It is great to have both Deepak and Raunaq on board. Over the last couple of years we have evolved from a digital media agency to a complete digital marketing solutions team with significantly large assignments and, along the way, attracting some great talent. This is going to further strengthen our offerings,” said Unny Radhakrishnan, Head of Digital, Maxus South Asia.
