As BestMediaInfo.com completes three years, it is all set to offer its content on two more platforms to its readers for whom it has been a preferred choice to get daily news in Advertising, Marketing and Media. Three years is not a very long time in the history of any trade media but it is certainly a landmark for BestMediaInfo.com as it announces the launch of two apps simultaneously on Android and Windows 8. With this, your favourite destination for daily A&M news is now available across four platforms – Web, WAP, Android and Windows 8.

Announcing the launch, Niraj Sharma, Founder-Director, BMI Publications, said, “Starting from the no-frills beta version in October 2009, it took us 10 more months to launch the present avatar which opened to an overwhelming response from readers in August 2010. Since then our focus remained at becoming the most credible source of information in the B2B space while maintaining the quality of content. Coming from a TV background where speed matters a lot, I felt the web medium is equally fast and the speed of delivery of latest news was well received by our readers. Gradually, the industry recognised BestMediaInfo.com as best in breaking news and to live up to the expectation, we decided offer two apps on Android and Windows 8 for faster access to latest news.”

The apps are targeted at mobile internet users along with tablet users to give them faster access to the best in Breaking News/News Updates on the go. While Android app is available on all devices with Androind version above 2.3, the Windows 8 app is the first in the Advertising, Marketing and Media domain.

Kalyan Kar, Editor-in-Chief, BestMediaInfo.com, said, “Media consumption patterns are changing very rapidly today. Today's youth tend to do almost everything through the handheld tiny screen. The handset is their bank, their social networking device, their repository of data, photos, notes et al. More importantly, when it comes to media consumption, there is a clear shift in preference from print to television to the handheld device. It is to address this changing preference in consumption behaviour that BestMediaInfo.com is now launching the Android and Windows 8 apps to enable our subscribers to easily access our daily A&M news offerings on their mobile devices.”

Manish Dhingra, Director, Readwhere (Mediology), the company that has developed the BestMediaInfo apps, said, “We wanted to ensure that we have maximum recall in the attention spans people have. Today mobile has become ubiquotious as the first access platform for news and media, so a presence there was very essential.”

Hemendra Singh, Senior Business Analyst, Readwhere, said, “With BestMediaInfo, we analysed that the end customer, the savvy advertising, marketing and media professional, needed access from his Desktop (Windows 8) to his Pocket (Android). So, besides the website, we have also developed the Windows 8 application and the Android applications.”

Speaking about the features of the Android app, Singh said, “The Android app has minimal navigation elements, allowing you to read stories in a particular section by swiping between them. Moreover, you can bookmark stories for offline reading. The Social Sharing elements allow easy sharing at the tap of a finger.”
