Starcom Mediavest announces South and Gurgaon heads

StarcomMediaVest Group has appointed Gerald Roche as VP - South, and Sameer Kapoor as VP based in Gurgaon

StarcomMediaVest Group has appointed Gerald Roche as VP, Starcom Worldwide South, based in Bangalore, and Sameer Kapoor as VP based in Gurgaon.

Gerald Roche

Roche took over his duties at the SMG Bangalore office in April. He moved from Madison where he was heading the media buying for Madison Media Infinity and Platinum Media.

In a career spanning 15 years, Roche has worked with leading agencies such as Madison Media, Dubai Outdoor Media, Mindshare, Carat Media Services, OMD Dubai, Bozell Prime, Dubai. He has handled important and significant clients in all his earlier stints. He brings to the table a proven ability to manage key account relationships and large-scale projects.

Roche said about his new assignment, "I'm truly delighted and encouraged that SMG, anchored by its analytics resources, has digital and not just television at the front and centre of its media planning and I look forward to contributing to this team effort."

Sameer Kapoor

Kapoor moved from Madison Media Plus where he was heading the Airtel Business. He is heading the Samsung account for Starcom. Kapoor brings over a decade of experience in media, having worked with agencies like Madison Media Plus, Madison Media, Initiative Media, Optimum Media Solutions and Universal McCann. He has led sizeable teams managing significant businesses of leading brands in his previous assignments.
