India’s performance in Design category was a record with a total of 12 Lions at 60th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The Indian agencies won 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 8 Bronze Lions this year compared with a Gold and Bronze last year and a Gold Lion, three Silver Lions and one Bronze Lion in 2012.
Taproot India’s won a Gold in Design for ‘Farmer Suicide’ campaign done for The Times of India in ‘Print and Poster Ads’ sub-category.
Ogilvy & Mather Gurgaon hit a Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze Lions in Design. The agency won the Gold for its ‘Day Light’ campaign for Phillips Electronics in Design Photography sub-category. The ‘Alley’ and ‘Gorge’ campaigns for Phillips Electronics won a Silver in Posters sub-category while another Silver was awarded to ‘Ogilvy Persian and Urdu’ campaign for Self Promotion.

McCann Worldgroup’s ‘Author Headphones’ and ‘Oscar Wilde’ campaigns for Penguin Group won 2 Bronze Lions in ‘Posters’ and ‘Print and Poster Ads’ sub-categories respectively.
