India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV tops weekend programming. The new show 'Chanchan' on Sony opens at an average of 1.4 TVR

publive-imageWeek 13 of TAM 2013 was dominated by special Holi programming, event shows and movie premiere that helped Hindi general entertainment channels sustain or grow over their last week's ratings. Weekday fiction shows didn't witness growth in viewership across the channels. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 13 (March 24-30), Star Plus is back with 5 shows in the top 10 weekday shows followed by Colors and Zee TV with two shows each. SAB's Tarak Mehta continues to be the second most watched show.

The new show 'Chanchan' on Sony launched at 1.7 TVR and averaged at 1.4 TVR over the week. World TV Premiere Talaash on Sony rated 2.3 TVR.

Star Guild Awards on Star Plus rated 3.7 TVR over its 3 hour duration. The red carpet event (7-8 pm) rated 1.1 TVR. Star Guild Hungama (11-12 pm) rates 1.0 TVR. Last year, the same event had rated 2.4 TVR on Colors (Apsara Awards).

Among special programming on Holi, Zee TV's SSLK Holi event fetched 3.5 TVR and SAB's Holi special programming fetched 3.1 TVR. Rang De Colors rated 1.7 and 1.0 in a double airing spanning 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday.

In weekend programming, India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV was the most watched show during the weekends.

Weekday toppers

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus continued to rule the weekday programming chart despite a significant fall in the viewership this week. The show averaged at 4.6 TVR (last week 5.2).

SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma held the No. 2 seat with 3.6 TVR against last week's 3.8 TVR.

At No. 3, Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai averaged at 3.6 TVR this week (last week 3.7).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus was also unmoved at No. 4 with an average rating of 3.5 TVR (last week 3.6).

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV jumped 5 positions to take No. 5 seat. The show fetched 3.2 TVR (last week 2.8).

Star Plus' Saathiya went two positions up to No. 6 with an average of 3.1 TVR (last week 3.2).

Veera on Star Plus made it to the toppers' club at No. 7. The show garnered an average TVR of 3.0 this week (last week 2.7).

Colors' Balika Vadhu slipped to No. 8 this week. This is the lowest ratings for the show in last three years. The show averaged at 3.0 TVR this week (last week 3.5).

Zee TV's Qubool Hai was at No. 9 with an average TVR of 2.9 (last week 3.1).

Colors's Madhubala dropped to No. 10 position with an average TVR of 2.9 (last week 3.3).

Weekend toppers

India's Best Dramebaaz on Zee TV remained the most watched show during the weekend. The show garnered an average TVR of 2.4 (last week 2.6).

Sony's crime show CID recorded an average TVR of 2.3 (last week 2.4).

Sony's other crime show, Crime Patrol, fetched 2.0 TVR this week (last week 2.3).

Comedy Circus ke Ajoobe on Sony averaged 2.0 TVR (last week 1.8).

Star Plus' crime fiction, Arjun, recorded 1.7 TVR (last week 1.7).

Fear Files on Zee TV garnered an average rating of 1.5 TVR this week (last week 1.7).

Sony's Adalat fetched 1.3 TVR this week (last week 1.3).

Colors' comedy show, Nautanki, averaged at 0.8 TVR (last week 0.8).
