Big Magic, the regional general entertainment channel for the Hindi heartland, has announced the 7th season of its flagship show, Big Memsaab. Riding on the success of the 6th season which delved a little deeper into Uttar Pradesh, the seventh edition is all set to go even closer to the true audiences in the region. Reaching out to housewives in Tier II and Tier III towns with less than 1 lakh population in UP, Big Memsaab Season 7 is all set to realise the dreams of housewives in the region. Television actress Parul Chauhan will be back on the show as its face and host along with co-host and actor Priyesh Sinha.
The 6th season of Big Memsaab which is currently in its final leg has received an incredible response from both audiences and marketers. Through an extensive promotional campaign including tie-ups and on-ground associations, Big Memsaab Season 6 reached out to more than 10,000 housewives. During the course of the auditions which were conducted across eight cities, housewives showcased their talents in the hopes of becoming the next Big Memsaab.
For Season 7, on-ground auditions to select city-wise Memsaabs will be conducted in towns such as Bhadoi, Kasganj, Naziabad and Barabanki among others. Television actress Parul Chauhan and actor Priyesh Sinha will continue as hosts of the show as they lead and guide the contestants through various levels of the competition and decrease the stress through their playful banter.
Sunil Kumaran, Business Head – Language TV, Reliance Broadcast Network, said, “Our first attempt at delving deeper into Uttar Pradesh has received some great feedback from audiences, marketers and advertisers. Now, with the 7th season, we are looking to penetrate even further to provide a platform to housewives in UP and Madhya Pradesh to showcase their talent. Parul Chauhan has been a great support system for the contestants in the 6th season and we are very excited to have her on-board for another season.”
