93.5 Red FM, which has always entertained its audience with super hit music, now promises to tickle the listeners' funny bone by launching radio's biggest comedy talent hunt, 'Champion Batteesi'. The FM channel has introduced a reality show, based on comedy, across various states depending on their lingual preference. The show will be called 'Comedy King' in Gujarat, 'Champion Batteesi' in the Hindi-speaking belt and 'Gudguliya' in Maharashtra.

For the first time ever, Red FM invites listeners to showcase their comic talent on-air in their true local flavour. The comedian who entertains the maximum will win the title of 'Comedy King' or 'Champion Batteesi' and will get a chance to host a show on Red FM besides winning attractive prizes.

Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP – Programming & Projects, 93.5 Red FM, said, “There is a plethora of talent in our country besides the metros and this is a brilliant opportunity for listeners in smaller towns to showcase it without any lingual barriers. In fact, the biggest stand-up comedians in India are from small towns. Comedy as content works extremely well on radio and we are happy to provide a platform to local talent in each city to showcase the same on Red FM.”
