For the first time in the history of Indian Idol, auditions were also held online for recently concluded sixth season of and users got a chance to participate by uploading their audition videos on MyIndianIdol.com. An overwhelming response led to more than 15,000 entries with people uploading videos from every corner of the country.

MyIndianIdol.com also enabled viewer engagement through an innovative and dynamic application called the “Popularity meter' where users knew how popular their favourite contestants were on a daily basis.

These features were supplemented with a large dose of special moments, blogs and videos that led MyIndianIdol .com to garner more than 21 million views worldwide.
