He joins from Contract Advertising Delhi where he was Creative Director & Vice President; he will be based in Mumbai

Commonwealth, a first-of-its-kind 50-50 joint venture combining San Francisco-based Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, an Omnicom Group company, and New York-based McCann Erickson Worldwide, an Interpublic Group company, has appointed Sachin Talwalkar as ‘Executive Creative Director’ at its Mumbai Hub. He brings with him an experience of more than 12 years of which 11 years were spend in Europe, working for BBDO and DDB in Germany and then moving on to Italy to handle P&G's oral care business for WE/CEEMEA at Saatchi & Saatchi, Milan.
In 2008 he moved to London to start his own consultancy onesingleline.co.uk which serviced agencies like Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and DDB launching global and regional campaigns for British American Tobacco and Fiat before moving back to India in 2010. In Europe, he worked on brands such as VW, MasterFoods, Wrigleys, Pepsi, Allianz Insurance, Gatorade and Henkel.
Talwalkar’s last stint was with Contract Advertising, Delhi where he was Creative Director & Vice President. At Contract, he worked on clients such as NIIT, SpiceJet, Ten Sports, JK Tyres, Shell Lubricants, Huawei, Whirlpool, Dabur etc. His work for JK Tyre was featured in Lurzers Archive, shortlisted at Cannes, Clio &Abbys and won metals at LIAA & Spikes Asia. His work has been recognised and awarded at Ad Club Germany, Mobius, Eurobest, Epica, Cresta, Cannes, NY Festival, Clio, Montreux Ad Festival, Ad Club Austria, Econ Awards, FAB Awards, LIAA, Spikes and Goafest.
Commenting on the appointment, Prasoon Joshi, President, McCann Worldgroup South Asia, says “Sachin has both- great craft and fantastic international experience .I am sure he will add a lot of value and finesse to the creative product.”
Commonwealth is guided by an eight-person Global Advisory Board, which oversees all creative initiatives and strategy for Chevrolet globally. The board includes four of the most-accomplished creative executives in the industry: Jeff Goodby, who serves as Creative Chairman; Washington Olivetto, Linus Karlsson and Prasoon Joshi. Commonwealth has four global hubs in Detroit, Milan, Mumbai and Sao Paulo.
