Star World brings Season 4 of MasterChef Australia this June

Starting June 14, the show will be telecast from Monday to Friday at 9 pm

For its fourth, highly anticipated year, MasterChef Australia returns on STAR World starting 14^th June, Mon –Fri, 9pm. This time the show is placing a renewed focus on the joy of food. Casting the net out Australia-wide, MasterChef sets out to find amateur chefs united by their passion for expressing themselves through their cooking.

Season 4 of MasterChef kicks off in Melbourne for the first time ever, where the Top 50 compete to win a coveted Top 24 apron. This season promises an exciting journey that involves a food lover's trip to Tasmania, catering to a Sri Lankan wedding for 450 people, running the kitchen in one of Australia's most revered hotels. Viewers can expect a veritable smorgasbord of tasks designed to discover who's most deserving of the prestigious title of MasterChef 2012.

It wouldn't be MasterChef, without the returning Gods of Food – the judges of course!  Gary, Matt and George, return while fellow show family member Matt Moran is also back to act as a mentor for this season's hopefuls.

Commenting on the launch of Season 4 Master Critique Matt Preston says, “This season we are taking the challenges back to basics. We want the contestants to be able to walk because we make them run! The other Celebrity guest judges include Rick Stein and Cake Boss's Buddy Valestro on the show, giving the entire culinary ambience the grandeur that it stands for! Also, this time Masterchef Australia brings in a surprise for all its Indian fans as one of the top contestants in the show is an NRI of Indian origin named Dalvinder Dhami. She claims, her strengths lie in the Indian Cuisine, with Lamb Curry as her signature dish! As the popular Australian Chef and Judge, George Calombaris puts it, this season is all about “Real people, real challenges and real cooking.”

This year too, STAR World has left no stone unturned to recreate the Masterchef experience in India across all mediums and this time around it only gets bigger, better and tastier!
