publive-imageDiageo has appointed Zanita Kajiji as Marketing & Innovation Director at Diageo India. She will be reporting to Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Deputy Managing Director.

Zanita has been with Diageo since 2003, when she joined Diageo Moet Hennessy Thailand. During her time in Thailand, she grew the Johnnie Walker brand franchise significantly, strengthening its position as market leader. She also created and launched Benmore Scotch whisky and started Diageo's participation in the Vodka category with Smirnoff. In 2009, her responsibilities expanded to cover spirits in other South East Asia (SEA) markets, where she led the Johnnie Walker strategy for Vietnam.

Zanita was appointed Whisky Category Director for Asia Pacific in 2010 and worked closely with the India, SEA and Taiwan teams to develop their whisky strategies. Her most recent assignment was Marketing Director, New Growth Opportunities for Asia Pacific. In this role, she led the agenda in capturing new consumer groups, the use of new marketing channels and assets to build brands and marketing capability development for new business partners of Diageo.

Prior to Diageo, Zanita spent 8 years at Leo Burnett, Thailand where her last assignment was Brand Strategy Director.

Zanita has a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and Diplomas in Hotel Management from the Hotel Institute Montreux, Switzerland and the American Hotel and Motel Association (AHMA).
