MCCS pioneered India's 1st National News Anchor Hunt which provided an opportunity to all prospective journalists to opt for a rewarding career in Television Journalism. The curtains came down on India's biggest search for News Anchors- The Star Anchor Hunt on 20th June 2010.

It was a first for News Television as MCCS looked for intellectual capital in the knowledge economy. Star News had for the first time appointed News Anchors at the end of a 10 City nationwide talent hunt .

MCCS entered the history books as India's first two Anchors selected through a talent hunt drove away with a job in Star News on a Ford Figo.

This achievement has now been recognized in the latest edition of the Limca Book of Records.

Arthy Singh, Editor, Limca Book of Records formally presented a framed Certificate to Ashok Venkatramani, CEO of MCCS.

"It was an honest and unique initiative launched by MCCS, and we had no idea of its success. As we had forecast, the kind of response that we got from people across the country was overwhelming and heartening. The process of recruitment, judging to the final stages of grooming was carefully designed so as to pick the right talent. Winners were on our channel as full-time news anchors within just two months of their selection. We are proud of them and they are now a part of the MCCS family. Gaining confidence from the success of our search for hindi news anchors we have replicated the search in other regional languages as well. Infact, the hunt for top Bengali news anchor is now in its second season. We are thankful to Limca Book of Records for recognising our sincere efforts. I am confident we will continue to do good work,” said Ashok Venkatramani CEO Star News.
