Brunch, the weekly lifestyle magazine from Hindustan Times, has announced the debut of its

maiden event property – 'Brunch Dialogues: Conversations with Indian Cinema' – the first edition of which will be held in Mumbai on March 26, 2012.

Brunch Dialogues have been conceptualised as an evening of engaging conversations with Indian cinema personalities set around an experience that encapsulates the Brunch brand promise of 'It's a Damn Good Life'.

The Brunch Dialogues will be light-hearted in context, yet deep-rooted and cerebral in content. The conversations will be led by Vir Sanghvi, noted journalist and celebrated television host who has a long running association with Brunch with his weekly column 'Rude Food/Travel'.

While the conversation sets the pace for a racy evening, it would soon break into a live musical performance that lifts the mood and culminates in a showcase of 'The Damn Good Life' – full of fine food, good wine and smart indulgences – something that the weekly Brunch encapsulates in print, every Sunday.

With a host of showbiz icons like Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ekta Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Sanjay Gupta confirmed as participating in the inaugural edition of Brunch Dialogues, the property is all set for a grand opening on March 26.

Announcing the debut of the event series, Rajan Bhalla, Head – Corporate Marketing & Magazines, HT Media, said, “Entertainment is one of the key platforms for Brunch, the others being technology, fashion, beauty & health, food, liquor and travel. With Brunch Dialogues we are extending the Brunch brand beyond print in a highly differentiated way in the entertainment space.”

Poonam Saxena, Editor, Brunch, commented, “The live conversations format itself is something that has not been explored in the entertainment domain before and we are confident that with Vir leading this initiative in his inimitable style, Brunch Dialogues will come to occupy a unique position in the media & entertainment calendar.”

The event will be extensively promoted across HT Media's network via Hindustan Times including the city supplements HT City in Delhi and HT Café in Mumbai, Fever 104 FM, Mint Lounge and Desi Martini. NDTV is the television partner for the event.
