publive-imageWhen Zee TV had an opportunity to acquire the No. 3 spot, it grabbed the opportunity with both hands by reducing the ad breaks during their shows which ultimately helped them add 43 GRPs. As a result, the channel acquired the third rank this week according to TAM data released for Week 8 of 2012.

At the same time, GEC leader Star Plus has lost a few GRPs this week but Colors and Sony have shown some improvement. Idea Filmfare Awards 2012 fetched 4.6 TVR for Sony. Among the Bollywood awards this year, Filmfare Awards remains ahead of Zee Cine Awards (4.38 TVR) but behind Colors' Screen Awards (5.36 TVR).

Star Plus remains the No. 1 Hindi general entertainment channel despite losing 19 GRPs this week. The channel has recorded 279 GRPs in Week 8 of TAM 2012 (last week 298).

Sony Entertainment Television has added 17 GRPs on the back of Idea Filmfare Awards this week. The channel remains at No. 2 with 227 GRPs this week (last week 210).

Zee TV soared to the No. 3 spot this week by adding 43 GRPs as its all the shows have fared well as a whole. The channel had reduced the ad breaks during its major shows. It has registered 222 GRPs (last week 179).

Colors is back to the 200-mark. By adding 7 points this week, the channel has registered 200 GRPs (last week 193).

SAB TV has lost a few points to slip at 134 GRPs this week (last week 141).

At No. 6, Life OK has recorded 81 GRPs (last week 78).

Imagine TV too has shown some improvement this week and recorded 63 GRPs (last week 58).

Sahara One has taken a huge leap to cross the 50-mark, registering 53 GRPs this week (last week 44).
