Colors regains 2nd spot; Star Plus & Zee TV lose eyeballs

Inaugural Golden Petal Awards on Colors garners 5 TVR to push the channel to No. 2 position

The last week of TAM 2011 saw the Hindi GEC category aggregating 1,238 GRPs against 1,236 GRPs in the previous week when Colors took a big leap of 38 points to regain the No. 2 position. While Colors ended the year on a high, Sony Entertainment Television also added a few GRPs. On the other hand, Star Plus and Zee TV have suffered marginal losses at the end of the year.

Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC category with 325 GRPs in Week 53 of TAM 2011 (last week 344). For Star Plus, 'Big Star Entertainment Awards' on Saturday at 10 PM fetched 4.6 TVR while 'Master Chef Grand Finale' on Saturday 9 PM garnered 2.1 TVR.

The first 'Golden Petal Awards' was well received by viewers and the shoe garnered 5 TVR to help Colors regain the No.2 position. By adding 38 points in the week 53, Colors garnered 256 GRPs (last week 218).

Despite adding a few points, Sony was pushed down to No. 3 position. The channel has garnered 240 GRPs this week (last week 235).

Zee TV has suffered a loss of few GRPs in Week 53 and recorded 194 GRPs (last week 208).

SAB TV has lost a few points registering 113 GRPs (last week 122).

Life Ok has been able to hold the 6^th spot despite losing 13 points in the second week after its launch. The channel has recorded 74 GRPs this week (last week 87)

Imagine TV has recorded 72 GRPs this week (last week 67).

Sahara One has 35 GRPs (last week 39).
