Top level changes at Times Television Network
Avinash Kaul is CEO - ET NOW & zoOm; Ajay Trigunayat is CEO - English Entertainment

Times Television Network has enhanced the responsibilities of two of its senior executives. Avinash Kaul will now be Chief Executive Officer of ET Now and Zoom, while Ajay Trigunayat will be Chief Executive Officer, English Entertainment Channels. They will continue to report to Sunil Lulla, Managing Director and CEO, Times Television Network.
Announcing the new organisational focus, Lulla said, “2011 has been a significant year of growth for Times Television Network (TTN). As the channels consolidate positions, it offers opportunities for talent to develop. Avinash Kaul and Ajay Trigunayat will both bring new ideas, energy and passion to TTN's ambitious growth agenda.”
In 2011, TTN's revenue has grown by over 50 per cent, its reach has spread to 26 countries besides India and its channels are in leadership positions. Movies Now has dominated category growth and ET Now has substantially challenged the stocks & business category. Times Now and Zoom continue to consolidate their leadership positions and are the 'go to' destinations for news and Bollywood infotainment, respectively.
Speaking on his appointment, Kaul said, “Bollywood and stocks are deep passions in India. I am delighted to have a blend of entertainment and information as part of my mandate. I look forward to ensuring that ET Now continues to consolidate its leadership as India's premier stock market channel.”
Kaul was earlier CEO of Zoom and has previously worked with Fulcrum (GroupM), Discovery Communications, Star, NDTV Media and Sahara One in strategic and management roles.
Commenting on his appointment, Trigunayat said, “Movies Now has just about completed one year of stellar performance and I am looking forward to consolidating and growing the franchise of Hollywood entertainment for TNN.”
Trigunayat was earlier Channel Head of Movies Now. Prior to joining Times Television Network, he has been in the Middle East in an entrepreneurial capacity. He has also been Business Head of the Zee English Channels bouquet; and has built brands and strategies for Lintas, Contract and Rediffusion. He has worked in Sales with PepsiCo.
