DDB Mudra Group and Lowe Lintas have secured 15 and 10 shortlists, respectively. A total 97 case studies have been shortlisted out of 300 entries

publive-imageThe Advertising Club Bombay has announced the final shortlist of case studies for Effie 2011 Awards to be held on December 14, 2011 in Mumbai. The final shortlist of 97 case studies was announced after a rigorous judging process held over three days, comprising two judging sessions in Mumbai and one in Delhi. The judging session in Delhi this year was a first-time initiative to encourage participation from agencies and clients across the national capital.

The Effies received 300 entries this year against 276 last year across categories. The entries came from over 20 agencies, a record in itself. The first round of judging shortlisted 97 entries. The shortlisting was done across award categories by a jury comprising 60 judges drawn from the marketing, advertising and media fraternity.

Ogilvy & Mather secured the maximum 27 shortlists this year followed by DDB Mudra Group with 15 and Lowe Lintas with 10. McCann Worldgroup is at No. 4 with eight shortlists. See the list below:

Announcing the shortlisted entries, Ajay Kakar, Chief Marketing Officer, Financial Services, Aditya Birla Group who is also the Chairperson of the Effie 2011 Committee, said, “The growing popularity and effectiveness of Effies across companies and agencies is clearly reflected in the quality and the number of entries received this year. Not just have the sheer volume of entries shown an increasing trend this year but it's remarkable to see the widespread participation of over 20 agencies that have been shortlisted this year. Moreover, it's heartening to see the interest and participation also from clients.”

Kakar added, “The final round of judging will be held in Mumbai on Wednesday, December 7, followed by the award ceremony on December 14, 2011.”
