To celebrate the 100 years of New Delhi, NDTV Good Times, India's first premium lifestyle channel in association with Aamby Valley City, presented 'Royal Reservation at the Imperial' on Monday evening. The presence of Royal families from across the country marked the elegant evening at 1911 at The Imperial, New Delhi reminiscent of the aristrocratic era.

Cocktails were followed by an enthralling Danstangoi performance directed by Mahmood Farooqui. After the moving performance, the award winning historian, writer, broadcaster, critic, William Dalrymple engaged guests on the prosperous history of New Delhi and the spirit of the city over the last 10 decades as a prelude to 'Journey of Delhi', a short film on New Delhi.

Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Lifestyle; Shibani Sharma Khanna,Channel Director, NDTV Good Times and Creative Head, NDTV Lifestyle; Amrita Gandhi, anchor of Royal Reservation along with Andrew Phillips, CEO, Penguin Books India announced the book 'How to turn your home into a palace: lifestyle secrets of the Maharajas', based on the successful show, 'Royal Reservation' on NDTV Good Times. The book will not only chronicle the travel experience to each of the 20 Royal Palaces featured in the TV show but will also add some curious lifestyle secrets of these Royal families.

Celebrating the formidable spirit of New Delhi, Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Lifestyle, said, “We have always believed in celebrating the best with our viewers at NDTV Good Times. Royal Reservation was one such special programme for us. It is therefore befitting to commemorate 100 years of New Delhi with Royal Reservation at The Imperial. We are delighted to make known our plans for the book 'How to turn your home into a palace' by Amrita Gandhi in association with Penguin on this occasion. We hope that the book will follow the road to success much like the show from which it draws its inspiration."

Surrounded by photographs and memorabilia of 1911, modern day royalty and member of the aristocratic royal families gathered to celebrate the spirit of enduring traditions.

Amrita Gandhi, anchor of the popular series Royal Reservation on NDTV Good Times, shared memorable anecdotes from the series and played the perfect hostess to the evening.
