NDTV Good Times announces second edition of Food Awards

To honor the excelence in the food industry at The Westin, Gurgaon on 17th December, 2011

Within a year, the Kaff NDTV Good Times Food Awards have become the definitive guide to the best in the industry, with an unmatched expert panel that is unbiased and uncompromising when it comes to food. The awards, in its second successful year, consist of a jury of renowned names such as Vinod Dua, Ritu Dalmia, Marut Sikka, Aditya Bal, Vicky Ratnani and Rocky & Mayur. The Awards will be hosted by the famous duo Rocky and Mayur, as they return with their charm, wit and humour.

Announcing the second year of the NDTV Good Times Food Awards, Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Lifestyle, says, “After the overwhelming response we received last year, we are really looking forward to present the second year of the NDTV Good Times Food Awards. This year we're raising the bar, and pulling out all stops in make the awards bigger than they have ever been. Also, with the introduction of the Viewers' choice award category this year, we hope to involve our loyal viewers in the process of choosing their favourite foodie city.”

This year the awards consist of two categories – Jury categories and the viewer's choice award.

The Jury categories include:

  • Best North Indian Restaurant
  • Best Coastal Indian Restaurant
  • Best Regional Restaurant
  • Best Asian Restaurant
  • Best Dessert & Coffee Menu
  • Best Bar
  • Best European Restaurant
  • Most Sensational Debut
  • All time favourite Restaurant
  • Best Dhaba

The second aspect of the Food Awards and an addition this year is the Viewer's Choice Award. This is a single award category where  the viewers will decide THE BEST FOODIE CITY OF THE COUNTRY through their votes. The city getting the maximum votes gets crowned The Foodie City of India.
