Life Ok opens at 87 GRPs; Zee TV takes a big leap

Star Plus strengthens its leadership while Colors and Sony lose a few GRPs in the 52nd week of TAM 2011

As 2011 comes to an end, it's interesting to see how the Hindi general entertainment channels are ending the year. The 52nd week of TAM 2011 also saw the launch of Life OK, which replaced Star One. Life Ok has managed a decent opening considering that Star One was averaging 40-42 GRPs every week.

Star Plus has strengthened its leadership position by adding a few GRPs in Week 52 of TAM 2011. The channel has recorded 344 GRPs this week (last week 330).

Although Sony has lost a few GRPs this week, the channel looks firm at No. 2 with 235 GRPs this week (last week 235).

Colors has suffered a marginal loss, garnering 218 GRPs this week (last week 221).

Riding on Zee Rishtey Awards and launch of the third season of its dance reality show 'Dance India Dance', Zee TV has crossed the 200-mark after several weeks. Zee Rishtey Awards garnered 4.2 TVR for the channel. Launched on Saturday, Dance India Dance Season 3 opened well with 3.7 TVR. Zee has garnered 208 GRPs (last week 155).

SAB TV has added a few points registering 122 GRPs (last week 121).

Launched on December 18, 2011, Life Ok from the bouquet of Star India has opened at 87 GRPs to grab the 6^th spot among Hindi GECs.

Imagine TV has recorded 67 GRPs this week (last week 71).

Sahara One has 39 GRPs (last week 45).
