India brings a Global Award; 10 works declared Finalist winners
Honouring the World's Best Healthcare Advertising, The Global Awards announces 2011 winners

The Global Awards, honouring the World's Best Healthcare Advertising, announced its 2011 award winners on Thursday, December 1, at two international Global Awards presentations that took place in New York and Sydney. The Global Awards Grand Jury selected only one entry for the coveted Grand Global Award -- McCann Healthcare Worldwide Japan for 'Roll Up Your Sleeves, Japan!' for client Novartis Hypertension DTC.
In addition, Langland, UK, earned the inaugural title of Global Healthcare Agency of the Year. This year's Grand Jury recognised winners from 21 countries and awarded a total of 31 Global Awards and 121 Finalists.
BBC World Service Trust was declared winner of the only Global Award for India this year for its 'Stolen Moments' condoms campaign in the TV Announcement categories, while 10 other works by Indian agencies were declared Finalist winners.

Langland, in addition to earning the title of Global Healthcare Agency, took the lead for the second year in a row earning eight Global Awards.
The UK received a total of 12 Global Awards, including Langland's 8 Global Awards. Random42 Medical Animation earned two Global Awards for 'Innovation Begins with Biology' for Amgen Oncology, and 'Gilenya in Multiple Sclerosis' for Novartis; Torre Lazur McCann was also honoured with two Global Awards for 'Xeplion Campaign' and 'Invega-PSP Scale' for client Janssen.
US agencies earned two Global Awards: CAHG, Chicago for 'RotaTeq Multiple Serotypes Video for RotaTeq; and Munn Rabot, New York for 'Amazing Things' for client New York-Presbyterian.
Australia was recognised with four Global Awards: Hammond & Thackeray earned a Global Award for 'Enbrel iPad detailer' for Enbrel; McCann Healthcare was honoured with a Global Award for 'Sponge Toast' for client Actonel EC; and Ward6 earned two Global Awards, one for 'One Heart Attack is Enough' for client Omacor, and the second for 'Tacks' for Cymbalta.
