Disney XD starts Marathi and Bengali feeds

Riding on the recent success in South Indian markets, the channel expands its horizon yet again

After garnering leadership status in the South, Disney XD, the quintessential action, adventure and comedy destination for boys is ready to capture attention of newer markets with the launch of Bengali and Marathi feeds in the New Year.

Boys across the country can expect an 'AWESOME' action-packed slate including new episodes of current favorites, brand new shows, popular Marvel superheroes, a brand new look and feel along with a daily treat of over 100 super cools goodies up for grabs everyday!

By reviving up the content pipeline in the New Year, Disney XD is giving you a lot to celebrate starting with the showcase of Disney Classic Blockbuster 'The Lion King' on January 1, 2011 at 12 noon.  The timeless story of a father and son, 'The Lion King' presents the journey of a lion from a cub to adulthood and the acceptance of his royal destiny. To add to the celebrations, the channel will also launch a brand new show “Scaredy Squirrel” on January 9, 2011 (Mon to Fri 1 PM) while new episodes of popular action adventure show “Ryukendo” started on 19th December, (Mon to Fri 7 PM). Scaredy Squirrel is fun-filled series inspired by the popular book series by Mélanie Watt about a creative and quirky hero --- A squirrel, as he tackles life's daily challenges. Scaredy makes no apologies for his quirks and that makes him one awesome squirrel!

The excitement on popular show “Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil” is already on the upswing with a spectacular contest where fans can win over 100 cool prizes everyday ranging from PlayStations to iPods, skateboards, bicycles and more!
