publive-imageNEO Sports, a premium all Sports Channel from the bouquet of NEO Sports Broadcast Pvt. Ltd., has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights of the ongoing AIBA World Boxing Championship 2011 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Indian Boxer L Devendro Singh (49kg), Commonwealth Games gold medalist Manoj Kumar (64kg), Commonwealth Games bronze-medalist Jai Bhagwan (60kg) and Asian Games gold medalist  Vikas Krishnan (69kg) cemented their place in the quarter finals at AIBA World Championship 2011.

Boxing in India has taken some rapid strides in the last few years, especially with the Indian contingent consistently winning international laurels. Infact, NEO has consistently invested in sports like Badminton and Golf where Indians continue to perform at the highest level. NEO Sports will broadcast the quarter finals, semifinals and the finals of the tournament from 5th October, 2011 to 8th October, 2011.

Our focus is to identify sports that have a strong Indian representation and this is another step in the right direction.
