IRS Q2 2011: Radio One Records 17 per cent growth over last year

Registers growth in listenership when the industry as a whole declines by 6 per cent

publive-imageRadio One has witnessed a  17 per cent growth in listenership during the last year according to the Indian Readership Survey 2011 Q2, while the industry as a whole has declined by 6 per cent (All, 12+).

The station has much to cheer about, going by the latest IRS report.  Radio one is the only player to have consistently shown listener growth from Q2 last year, and has added 103000 listeners in Ahmedabd, Chennai and Pune.

In the key markets of Mumbai and Bangalore, Radio One's listenership base is 15.39 lacs, which is 54 per cent more than the 10.22 lacs of the other metro player, Fever (All, 12+).
