Colors' Programming Head Ashvini Yardi quits

To explore entrepreneurial opportunities in film production, the first of which will be in association with Viacom18's Motion Picture Division

Ashvini Yardi, Head of Programming, Colors, has decided to call it a day at the channel and explore opportunities in the film production domain. Over the next 2-3 months, she'll transition out of her current role at the channel and work on film projects, the first of which will be in association with Viacom18's Motion Picture Division.

Yardi has been with Colors since before its launch and has led the programming efforts of the channel that helped it to leapfrog to the No. 1 position within nine months of its launch.

Commenting on the development, Haresh Chawla, Group CEO - Viacom18, said, "Ashvini's contribution to Colors' success has been significant. With her experience and knack for content that connects with the masses, she not only brought differentiated concepts to Colors but also gave the format shows her distinct touch.
