publive-imageAshish Bagga, CEO, India Today Group has been elected President of The Indian Newspaper Society for the year 2011-12 at its 72nd Annual General Meeting held in Bangalore on 30th September, 2011.  He succeeds Kundan R Vyas of Janmabhoomi Group.

K. N. Tilak Kumar (Prajavani) was elected Deputy President while Ravindra Kumar (The Statesman) was elected Vice President and Rakesh Sharma (Aaj Samaj) was elected Honorary Treasurer of the Society for the year 2011-12.

V. Shankaran has been the Secretary General of the Society.
