Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is all set to launch the romantic drama show 'Kuch To Log Kahenge', an adaptation of the blockbuster Pakistani television drama 'Dhoop Kinare'. Based in the backdrop of a hospital setting in Bhopal, 'Kuch To Log Kahenge' highlights the nuances of a complicated relationship when two people with a big age difference fall in love. The show is premiering on October 3, 2011 and will air Monday to Friday in the 8 pm time band.

'Kuch To Log Kahenge' is a love story between people from two different generations – the brooding, handsome and mature Dr Ashutosh and the young and spirited Dr Nidhi Verma. The show will mark the return of Mohnish Behl in a lead role on the small screen. And for the first time, Kritika Kamra will share screen space with Mohnish as a lead opposite him. The show will also see an amalgamation of veteran actors such as Alok Nath, Vijay Kashyap and Rukhsar.

Announcing the launch of 'Kuch Toh Log Kahenge', Sneha Rajani, Senior EVP and Business Head, SET, said, “Fiction as I have been saying is going to be the key focus in our programming strategy. We are confident 'Kuch To Log Kahenge' will open the 8 pm slot for us and additionally build up our fiction portfolio on weekdays. With 'Bade Acche Laggte Hai' and 'Saas Bina Sasural' strengthening our band of fiction properties and 'KBC' having reached the length and breadth of the entire nation, 'Kuch To Log Kahenge' will further strengthen our position as the second most popular general entertainment channel in India.”

Rajan Shahi, Producer, said, “My association with Sony is very old. I debuted as a director on Sony's 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin' and now I am producing a show for Sony for the first time. We are very excited to be launching 'Kuch To Log Kahenge' which has been inspired by the iconic Pakistani drama 'Dhoop Kinare'. We have a great creative team and a brilliant writer, who have taken the best elements from the original show and further adapted and given the show a unique feel and texture. The show will see a unique ensemble cast never seen before on Indian television comprising veteran actors and promising upcoming talent.”
