publive-imageDainik Bhaskar Newspaper has been voted as a Star Brand for 2010-11 by the Indian Council for Market Research (ICMR). The award was received by Biswaraj Choudhary on 6th July, 2011 in a function held at JW Marriot Hotel, Mumbai.

Star Brands is awarded on the basis of an extensive pan-India research which sums up list of India's most impactful brands. Research included list the top national and international brands across 22 centres in India. This long list for the study had 2,500 brands (for the category of business brands) and 5,000 Brands (for the Consumer Brand) evaluation across 40 different categories. The short list based on a sample size of 18,000 respondents was restricted to 400 brands.

Star Brands recognises the most impact creating brands across industries and sub- industries based on choice of Indian consumers. So, the selected brands join a premium group of brands which have immense faith and trust amongst consumers fortifying their presence in the Indian market.

The brand study evaluated brands across three different parameters to arrive at the brand's credibility: Product innovation, Brand recall and Brand perception. All brands were also analysed for star factor- a summation of Trust, Recall, Awareness, Image, Impact, Innovation and reach.

This study is the first brand project in the world to feature both consumer and business brands.
