publive-imageThe 24th week of TAM 2011 has brought good news for Zee TV which has attained its normal TVRs above 200 points; however, the other top 3 channels Star Plus, Colors and Sony have lost eyeballs. Where Colors has reduced the gap with Star Plus to just 8 points, Zee TV has increased the lead margin from Sony which was just 2 points away in the last week.

Besides this, Colors has another reason to celebrate this week as its flagship fiction show Balika Vadhu has topped the chart after almost 2 years. While Balika Badhu has garnered 4.6 TVRs in week 24 of TAM 2011, the No.1 show for a long time, Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta has garnered 4.5 TVRs. No.3 slot is again held by Colors with its show Uttaran (3.4) followed by Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma (3.3) and Saathiya (3.2).

India's No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has been able to retain its numero uno position in the week 24 of TAM 2011 but with a very small margin. The channel has lost 42 GRPs this week and recorded 247 GRPs this week (last week 289).

The second most watched Hindi GEC Colors has also lost a few GRPs but managed to reduce the gap to just 8 points with the No.1 channel. Colors has recorded 239 GRPs on this week (last week 245).

The No.3 Hindi GEC Zee TV has bounced back to its normal TRPs over 200 thus increasing the lead margin with Sony by 45 points. Its GRPs now adds up to 208 points on TAM people meters in the week 24 (183 GRPs last week).

Sony Entertainment Television had been showing a robust growth in its TRPs for past few weeks; however the channel could not hold its last week's performance on the TAM people meter. By losing 18 GRPs this week, Sony has recorded 163 GRPs (last week 181).

SAB has maintained the status quo by adding just 1 point to its last week's GRPs. Its GRP in the 24th week of TAM 2011 stands at 148 GRPs (last week 147).

Riding on the success of its Swyamvar season 3, No.6 player Imagine TV is again showing consistent growth. The channel has been able to attract more eyeballs this week and recorded 90 GRPs (last week 85).

Star One has garnered 37 GRPs (last week 37). Sahara One is at 32 GRPs (last week 27).
