publive-imageAfter 12 years of giving creative standards a booster shot in leadership roles across Asia, Sonal Dabral, Creative Head Asia and Chairman Bates 141 India, is returning to India.

While his designation and role within the network remain unchanged, he will re-locate from Singapore to Mumbai at the end of July.

This move is to re-focus on India and use his fruitful experience in the country and the region to build new businesses, and help current businesses get stronger. Commenting on his return to India, he says, "I have been closely working with our clients and teams in India during the past few years. Bates 141 in India is at the right inflection point with a strong list of clients, a highly talented team and some good work in its bag. I hope to bring my learnings from all the international markets to push Bates141 in India to the next level, to the position it truly deserves".

Of course, parallel with this, in his role of Creative Head for Asia, he will continue to travel to Bates offices in the region to raise the bar of creative contribution to his mandates as he has always been doing.

As Regional ECD, he has put together a strong network of creative leaders across Asian markets. In addition, he has introduced several innovative steps such as quarterly reviews and an internal metric known as Smashing Pumpkins, all geared towards improving the creative product across the network.

Tim Isaac, Chairman Bates 141 Asia, adds: 'Clients and colleagues in India have been crying out for Sonal to come amongst them for several years now. This is not surprising as he is an inspirational and charming leader. So I encouraged him to respond to the clarion calls. He will be able to do so much more for India and still maintain an influence over our other offices.'
