publive-imageThis summer, NDTV Good Times takes you on a journey, a journey into the unexplained, the paranormal, with an all new show, India's Most Haunted, a nationwide trail, uncovering the real truth behind the country's most haunted places. Anchored by the famous duo Rocky and Mayur, the show will showcase the mystical edge of India with its ancient myriad beliefs and rituals along with the psychological effects of this collective belief system on the individual psyche. India's Most Haunted hits your television screens on what will be a fiery Friday evening, Friday the 13th May 2011 10 PM only on NDTV Good Times.

Armed with state-of-the-art equipment and determined to unravel, the truth behind local legends, curses and the haunted, Rocky and Mayur will go beyond normal paranormal investigative methods. The duo intentionally will put themselves directly in harms way with their bold antics by taunting ghosts, summoning the dead and daring the demonic to attack.

publive-imageSpeaking with BestMediaInfo.com, Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Good Times said, “The show is not a horror show at all rather you may find it scary some time. This genre was untouched in India so far. If you look at China, they have developed theme based tourism including haunted places. Why can't India have something like this. Our objective is to educate and inform people about such haunted places in India. It's up to them if they want to take the joy of thrill by visiting these places.”

"Everyone loves a good ghost story and everybody has one to tell. When we decided to go ahead with the show, there was a huge response from people wanting Rocky and Mayur to tell their 'haunted' story. In fact in places like New Orleans haunted or horror tourism is a huge draw and a viable business model. India has so many fabulous haunted havelis and hill stations waiting to be showcased. NDTV GOOD TIMES is thrilled that Rocky and Mayur are bringing their unique approach to this genre.” added Smeeta.

Commenting on his association with the show, anchor Rocky Singh said, “I am thrilled to be a part of this show – the show is dedicated to every person who would like to understand the sphere of paranormal phenomena. We hope to find answers to things that are logically contradictory but perhaps manifest subjectively.”

India's Most Haunted will reveal some of India's most infamously famous supernatural locations, each with its own fascinating history such as Jamali Kamali in New Delhi. Led by experienced “ghost-hunter” Rocky, co-anchor Mayur, a tantrik and a renowned psychologist, the show will delve into paranormal accounts put to test with high-tech instruments, rationality and actual time spent on location in environments that can make us question how much we really know about the supernatural.
