publive-imageKnown for its distinctively different and entertaining programming, FOX History & Entertainment today announced increased focus on locally produced content to widen its reach and expand the revenue market. The first local production this year is a unique travel based show that explores the psyche of Indian men across the country through the eyes of two sassy, urban women. With a title like 'What's With Indian Men', the show promises to be high on entertainment, wit and exploration of both- the geography and the gender.

As part of the series, two women, different and complimentary, sharing a passion for travel with wicked sense of humor will hit the road to discover Indian cities and men. They will travel to 10 cities, digging deep into each place and watch how it shapes its men. The show is scheduled to go on-air in May and the two glamorous anchors will be decided shortly.

Speaking about the announcement, Debarpita Banerjee, Vice President – Marketing, FOX International Channels India said, “It is our constant endeavour to explore newer formats that will appeal to the viewers looking for something different. Our new Traveller Band has managed to introduce programming in such fresh formats, which have a wider viewership appeal. With the launch of 'What's With Indian Men' we will be able to combines lots of travel and exploration, a little bit of history and rich insights leading to a dash of gender based debate, to create smart, innovative and entertaining content.”

“We are in the process of finalizing a few more shows, which will be announced soon. These programming initiatives- contemporary, witty and youthful - will also provide our advertising partners an ideal opportunity to reach out to their large base of target consumers”, she added.

The show will be extensively promoted on-air, on-ground and on-line through various viewer outreach programmes in association with FOX History & Entertainment's partners for the series. Apart from 'What's With Indian Men', the channel will produce more local shows and build in locally relevant activations for its popular international content such as History Rocks, and the recently launched Traveller Band, amongst others.
