NGC Returns With Photography Competition Moments Awards-Season III

An opportunity for photography enthusiasts to win a chance to get trained with renowned NG photographer.

publive-imageNational Geographic Channel's annual photography competition - Moment Awards, season 3, is all set, once again, to trigger the creative eye of photography enthusiasts across the country. Last year, the competition received over 100,000 entries from professional and amateur photographers and in the third year of the annual property, Nat Geo will be creating a larger platform to reach out to mass audience. The photography will be open to all over the age of 15.

Keeping its promise to get bigger and better each year, Moment Award III plans to rope in the world renowned NG photographer- Steve Winter. Winter is famous for his photo stories for magazines like Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Natural History, Business Week, Scientific American and Stern.

This year, the contest also adds a special category to the 4 usual categories – Culture, People, Landscape & wild, Supported by NGO- CRAYONS- this year enthusiasts will also get to capture and display STREET KIDS The final entries will not only be judged by experts from the fraternity, including Steve Winter, but for the first time, will also give participants and viewers a chance to vote for their favourite entries- through online and other voting system. But the crème of it all lies in the opportunity the winner will get- a chance to shape up as a Nat Geo photographer- an internship with Steve winter himself.

The mega event is expected to be supported through an aggressive campaign across television, print, radio and online mediums, with a large focus on fast growing social media platform. Moment Awards III also plans to take the best entries right into the heart of metropolitan India- through a weekend exhibition in Delhi and Mumbai, at popular and crowded hot-spots, for talent to get appreciated & acknowledged by the discerning cosmopolitan crowd.

The competition starts with its call for entry, from the end of April. The exhibition and winner announcement is scheduled for sometime in mid May to early June.
