Additionally, CyberMedia will leverage its rich media experience to kick-start “Entrepreneurship and BioTechnology” research practice.

Announcing this here today, CyberMedia founder and managing director

Pradeep Gupta said, “The domestic market is expanding at a very rapid pace and is not charted well. CyberMedia Research (CMR) will offer customers (corporations, industry associations and governments) its wealth of knowledge in IT, Telecom as well as in-depth understanding of the Indian market to present insights in emerging areas, sectoral trends and consumer insights more aggressively.”

CyberMedia Research (CMR) will be headed by Thomas George, a veteran of 14 years at CyberMedia. CMR team will offer research services by a dedicated team based in Indian capital's Delhi's NCR region. The team with cumulative research experience of 250 person years has domain expertise and diverse backgrounds in research.

“CyberMedia, the company credited with launching India's first ICT market research in 1987, will also kick start BioTechnology and Entrepreneurship practice from March 1. CyberMedia will offer both syndicated and custom research from the enhanced portfolio. Starting with a team of 50 we hope to double this number in the next two years”, added Gupta.

The company's newly set up entrepreneurship research practice has bagged two mega studies on Technology Business Incubation Units and Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Programs for its

CyberMedia's strong research practice in IT and Telecom will work closely with the team that transitions from IDC on March 1, 2011.The CyberMedia Research team will combine capability in the new domains and adopt best practices in research followed by CyberMedia flagship media properties Dataquest, Voice&Data, Dare and BioSpectrum.

CyberMedia's research portfolio is visible to businesses and consumers in the form of  Dataquest Top 20 IT and BPO surveys, Voice&Data Telecom Services and Equipment Surveys, e-Governance studies, BioTechnology industry surveys, Top BioTech and Tech-schools rankings, that are widely respected and extensively quoted by the industry and media alike.

In addition, the company also offers customer, channel and employee satisfaction, mega IT spenders surveys and market mapping studies for a host of customers in the IT and Telecom industry, hardware, software and peripheral vendors, and channel partners.

It may be recalled that the company is ending its mutually rewarding partnership with a leading technology intelligence firm, IDC, as announced earlier today. The company is now free to pursue its goals starting March 1, 2010.
